markdownSolver Network & Pricing

HEX routes every trade through independent solvers. They observe Omni intents, execute hedging trades on external venues, and settle directly against the Omni Balance contract.

Intent broadcast to solver, hedge, settlement
Solvers ingest intents, hedge across venues, then settle through the Omni Balance contract.

Solver Lifecycle

  1. Discovery – Solvers subscribe to NEAR Intents distribution channels or Omni-specific feeds.

  2. Quoting – Each solver evaluates routes (DEX, CEX, OTC) and decides whether to compete on the token_diff intent.

  3. Execution – The solver executes hedges using its own capital.

  4. Settlement – It submits the signed payload plus execution metadata to the Omni Balance contract.

  5. Reconciliation – The ledger applies the delta, emits events for accounting, and the solver collects any configured fee or referral.

Incentives

Component
Description

Solver fee

Percentage added to the user quote; displayed transparently before signing.

Gas rebate

Optional reimbursement baked into the intent metadata.

Bond

Staked amount slashed if proofs are invalid; enforces honest fills.

Competitive pressure keeps pricing tight. Users can optionally constrain solvers to an allowlist if they need deterministic routing.

Building a Solver

  1. Connect to the NEAR Intents feed or any Omni intent relay.

  2. Implement routing strategies (e.g., cross-chain DEX aggregation, CEX hedging).

  3. Submit signed payloads via aiohttp or your preferred NEAR client library.

  4. Monitor fill quality, referral accounting, and gas reimbursements.

NEAR Intents feed

Emits new intents to solvers

Distribution channels such as wallets, bots, or APIs.

Omni Balance contract

Applies deltas and emits events

Validates signatures and updates balances.
